Q Pickups PAF , NECK position only, 1pc. Designed to replicate the tones of Peter Green’s 1959 Les Paul – the famous “Greenie”.
The magnet bar in this pickup is flipped so the screw bobbin is “north up” and slug is “south up”. When used with other standard humbucker pickups it will cancel out certain frequencies, creating a distinct tonal character. Although “out of phase” when both pickups are active, on its own it will retain pure and fat tone, both clean and overdriven.
Mr. Green manipulated the volume levels between the neck and bridge pickups to achieve his signature sound. This technique allowed him to emphasize the out-of-phase effect.
