Inspired by David Gilmour’s Black Strat set, this assembly features identical “staggered” magnets. The moderate output and transparent-sounding neck and middle pickups are well-balanced with the hotter bridge pickup. It includes three distinct pickups, each a replica of the vintage originals.
Bridge pickup is HOT @ 12,9 kOhm, AWG43 wire POLY ENAMELED wire. Based on original bridge pickup (SSL-5) that was designed by Seymour Duncan in 1979 – it has a classic, vintage Strat tone with considerably higher output and mid range. The Seymour Duncan SSL-1C(now SSL-5)was first used on the 1980 The Wall tour and is still present on the Black Strat. Great bridge pickup for more sustain and bite. Wax potted.
Middle pickup is Fender CS 69 replica – 5.8 kOhm with vintage correct AWG42 PLAIN ENAMEL – grey bottom bobbin, – R.W.R.P. for hum canceling – classic clean and transparent Strat tones.LACQUER POTTED.
Neck pickup is Fender FAT 50s clone – 6kOhm with vintage correct AWG42 HEAVY FORMVAR wire. Wax potted.
