Description

DUMMY PICKUP COIL is designed to be wired with an existing magnetic single coil guitar pickup. Its purpose is to remove 50-60Hz cycle hum / buzz associated with single coil pickups.
When wired in series with single coil pickup it will darken the tone by taking away some of the high freq.- wired in parallel it will increase the high freq. – both types of connections will ensure noiseless operation.

Q Pickups Ferrous Core Dummy Coil is wound around NON-MAGNETIZED steel slugs for increased inductance and flawless noise canceling properties.

Each coil is built to order and shipped out in 3 business days – please contact us so we can adjust the DC resistance to match your pickups.

  • black vulcanized fiberboard flatwork
  • coil is wrapped with black paper pickup tape
  • approx. 15mm / 0,6″ tall, 79mm / 3,1″ long, 20mm / 0,8″ wide
  • non-magnetized 1018 steel slugs
  • cloth covered push back hookup wires
  • supplied with wood mounting screws and vintage style tubing
  • wax potted
