The combination of Alnico 5 and Alnico 2 magnets delivers the best of both worlds. Alnico 5 magnets under the low E, A and D strings provide tight focused bass and punchy low-end response. Alnico 2 magnets under the G, B and high E strings soften the upper frequencies and reduce piercing glassy highs often found in naturally bright guitars.
