The Jazzmaster HYBRID pickup set, bridge and neck positions, handcrafted by Q Pickups.
These are Jazzmaster-sized pickups, not P90 or humbucker-sized – designed as a hybrid of Jazzmaster, P90, and humbucker pickups. Instead of traditional Alnico magnet rods like classic Jazzmaster pickups, they feature humbucker nickel-plated steel slugs powered by two AlNiCo 2 bar magnets.
This type of design yields a tone that is fatter and warmer, somewhat reminiscent of a P90 but with more fullness and clarity due to the steel slugs instead of conventional screws.
The bridge pickup is rated at 9.4 kOhm for added bite, while the neck pickup measures 7.5 kOhm.
